Bnei Brak Hosts Launch of 'HaMeorashim' Matchmaking Center and Online Platform
The foundational conference and launch of the 'HaMeorashim' matchmaking center and its new online system took place last night at Beit HaMeorot in Bnei Brak. This major project, developed over a long period by a dedicated team, aims to assist matchmakers in the sacred task of building faithful Jewish homes in Israel, following the meticulous guidelines of a special rabbinical committee overseeing the initiative from conception to execution.
The event was honored by the presence and speeches of prominent rabbis from the community and the rabbinical committee, who also signed the ceremonial 'Founding Scroll.' Among them were Rabbi Aviran Yitzchak-Halevi, Av Beit Din of Tel Aviv; Rabbi Yehoram Yiftach, head of the institutions; Rabbi Yoram Seri, Gaavad of Modiin Illit; Rabbi Baruch Okashi, chief rabbi of Elad and head of the Etz Chaim kollel in Petah Tikva; and Rabbi Azriel Tzadok, supervisor of the Darchei Moshe yeshiva in Beitar Illit and rabbi of the 'Yad Yechiel Yona' community in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Moshe Yiftach, director of HaMeorot and the Modiin Illit community, hosted the evening and shared that many daily requests for assistance have been received by HaMeorot institutions to address the community's matchmaking challenges. He emphasized the rabbis' directive to proceed with the project while strictly maintaining holiness and tradition without compromising quality.
The rabbis stressed that registration in the 'HaMeorashim' database is strictly kosher and recommended "from the outset" to prevent matchmaking delays. They conveyed a call from the leading rabbis urging parents, matchmakers, and all able to help to join this positive revolution by registering candidates and expanding the database. They highlighted the great merit in partnering with God in the act of creation and following His ways.
The event gathered dozens of matchmakers and professionals in the matchmaking and marriage fields, who attentively listened to the rabbis' speeches, posed questions, and received a comprehensive briefing from the center's management and technical team about the innovative platform and future vision.
