Israel Confirms IDF Will Maintain Yellow Line as International Force Deploys in Gaza

Following the approval by Israel's Security Cabinet to deploy a multinational stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, a senior Israeli official clarified the government's position on the operation. The approval aligns with the 20-point plan proposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump, which facilitated the release of all hostages. The official emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue to hold the Yellow Line, with no withdrawal until Hamas is fully disarmed and Gaza is completely demilitarized.

The Cabinet also granted immunity under the 'Immunities for International Organizations' law to the International Stabilization Force (ISF), which will operate in coordination with the IDF in areas beyond the Yellow Line that are not under Israeli control. Any deployment of ISF personnel requires individual approval from the Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Foreign Minister.

Furthermore, the Cabinet decided that Israel will determine which countries may send troops to Gaza, limiting participation to nations with peace agreements with Israel that do not act against it internationally. Initially, about 200 personnel from friendly countries such as Uganda and Morocco are expected to be part of the force.
