Australian Actor Nate Buzzulic Reflects on Elimination from Israel's Dancing with the Stars

Australian actor Nate Buzzulic, known for his strong support of Israel since October 7, recently competed on Israel's Dancing with the Stars alongside professional dancer Julia Shahar. Their journey ended just before the live broadcast stage in a surprising elimination. In an interview with "Morning News," Buzzulic and Shahar discussed their collaboration, the emotional experience, and the bond they formed during the competition.

Buzzulic expressed that while he will not miss the dancing itself, he deeply values the friendship he developed with Shahar. He said, "The real reward was the friendship I have with Julia. Long after the show airs and people forget, we will remain close friends. I will keep in touch with her and her husband Yogev, whom I also love as a couple." He acknowledged the hard work they put in over four months and felt the judges' unanimous scores signaled it was time to exit.

Shahar, a five-time participant in the show, praised Buzzulic's dedication despite his lack of prior dance experience and his age, turning 43 soon. She described their journey as a victory and emphasized the joy they found in the process, calling Buzzulic a good friend.

A highlight of their final performance was dancing with Gilboa Prison hostage survivor Daniela Gilboa, which both described as a powerful and meaningful moment. Buzzulic said it was important to give Daniela a platform to showcase her courage and resilience, while Shahar called the choice to feature Daniela perfect and deeply moving.

Looking ahead, Shahar expressed excitement about supporting her husband Yogev Malka, who will appear as a commentator on the show Ninja. Buzzulic and Shahar plan to remain close and enjoy their time together beyond the competition.
