Israeli Police Find Over 1.7 Kg of Suspected Cannabis Hidden in Shoe Boxes During Routine Traffic Stop

During a routine patrol on Highway 4, police officers from the Zichron Yaakov station stopped a vehicle that raised their suspicion. Upon searching the car, they discovered shoe boxes containing bags filled with a substance suspected to be cannabis, weighing more than 1.7 kilograms. The suspect, a resident of Holon, was arrested and brought in for questioning. Following the investigation, he was released to house arrest under restrictive conditions by court order. The vehicle was impounded, and the seized materials were sent to the Israeli Police forensic laboratory for further evidence processing.
