Lazio Plans Official Bid for Israeli Defender Stav Lemkin After Strong Twente Season
Israeli defender Stav Lemkin, 23, who had an impressive debut season with Dutch club Twente, is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A side Lazio. According to multiple reports, Lazio intends to submit a formal offer to Twente for Lemkin, who joined the Dutch club from Shakhtar Donetsk for 1.5 million euros following a successful loan spell at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Currently valued at 6 million euros by Transfermarkt, Lemkin is under contract with Twente until 2028.
If the transfer materializes, Lemkin would become the second Israeli player in Serie A this season, alongside Omri Gandelman of Lecce. Last season, Israeli midfielder Manor Solomon also played in Italy for Fiorentina. Another Israeli player, Anan Khalaily, had agreed terms with Inter Milan but the move collapsed due to medical issues.
Lemkin's potential move to Lazio marks a significant step up in his career after being recognized as one of Twente's standout performers this season.
