Lazio Targets Israeli Defender Stav Lemkin After Strong Debut Season at Twente

Israeli defender Stav Lemkin, 23, who had an impressive debut season at Dutch club Twente, is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A side Lazio. The Italian club plans to submit an official offer to Twente for Lemkin, who joined the Dutch team from Shakhtar Donetsk for 1.5 million euros and is currently valued at 6 million euros by Transfermarkt. Lemkin is under contract with Twente until 2028.

If the transfer materializes, Lemkin would become the second Israeli player in Serie A this season, alongside Omri Gandelman of Lecce. Last season, Israeli player Manor Solomon also competed in Italy with Fiorentina. Another Israeli, Anan Khalaily, had agreed terms with Inter Milan but his move was canceled due to medical issues.

Lemkin's potential move marks a significant step up in his career following a successful loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv and his strong performances in the Netherlands. Lazio's interest highlights the growing presence of Israeli players in top European leagues.
