Lecce Officially Offers Over €2 Million for Hapoel Tel Aviv Midfielder Stav Turiel

Italian Serie A club Lecce has formally approached Hapoel Tel Aviv with an offer exceeding two million euros to immediately acquire midfielder Stav Turiel. Lecce, which also features Israeli player Omri Gandelman, has presented Turiel with a contract proposal worth approximately 700,000 euros per season. Turiel recently signed a new contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv that does not include a release clause, leaving the decision to transfer solely in the hands of the Israeli club.

Turiel, currently Hapoel Tel Aviv’s standout player, has expressed a strong desire to leave the club promptly to pursue his dream of playing in one of Europe’s top leagues. Over the past two seasons, he has been instrumental in Hapoel Tel Aviv’s success, scoring 18 goals and providing 14 assists to help the team return to the Premier League, followed by 12 goals and 6 assists last season, which helped the club secure fourth place.

Lecce began their 2026/27 Serie A season with a 2-0 away win against Venezia, with Gandelman coming on as a substitute in the 91st minute. The Italian league’s transfer window closes next Tuesday, adding urgency to the negotiations. Meanwhile, Hapoel Tel Aviv is currently refusing to release Turiel despite his wishes to move abroad, creating significant behind-the-scenes tension.
