Hapoel Tel Aviv activates option to keep Doron Leidner
Hapoel Tel Aviv has officially signed Doron Leidner for the next three seasons after exercising its purchase option following his loan spell from Olympiacos.
The club said the move became official on June 23, 2026, after Leidner spent last season on loan and will now remain in the red shirt. Hapoel originally held a buyout option in the contract valued at about 700,000 euros.
In the end, the club managed to negotiate that price down to roughly 300,000 euros, and that was the amount paid to the Greek side. The agreement secures the left back for three more seasons in the Israeli Premier League.
