Hapoel Tel Aviv Rejects Lecce's €2 Million Offer for Satu Toriel, Coach Klinger Reveals

Satu Toriel, a key left winger for Hapoel Tel Aviv and a major contributor to the club's recent rise in Israeli football, is attracting interest from Italian Serie A club Lecce. Lecce reportedly submitted an offer exceeding €2 million for Toriel's transfer. During a discussion on the Sports Stand program, former coach and Channel 5 sports analyst Nir Klinger disclosed new details about the offer and Toriel's situation.

Klinger revealed that Hapoel Tel Aviv received an offer of €2 million plus an additional €500,000 from Lecce. Toriel's potential salary with Lecce could reach €700,000 net per season, which is 2.5 times his current earnings. At 25 and a half years old, Toriel is eager to move abroad, recognizing this as one of his last major opportunities. However, Klinger emphasized the club's stance, noting that Toriel had recently signed a new contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, relinquishing his European release clause in exchange for the removal of a buyout clause. Therefore, the club insists on respecting the contract terms.

Hapoel Tel Aviv immediately rejected Lecce's offer without entering negotiations, as Lecce is not considered a wealthy club capable of meeting the club's valuation, which is believed to be higher than €5 million. Klinger suggested that the transfer saga might not be over, hinting that developments could occur after Atalanta's upcoming matches. For now, the club remains firm on not selling Toriel, despite the player's strong desire to leave.
