Young Woman in Serious Condition After Drowning in Bathtub in Bnei Brak

A 24-year-old woman was rushed to Sheba Medical Center in serious condition after drowning in her bathtub at her home in Bnei Brak on Friday evening. Rescue volunteers from the Hatzalah organization arrived promptly after receiving the emergency call and found the woman unconscious, likely due to a medical event that led to the drowning. Paramedics provided immediate respiratory assistance and other critical care before transporting her to the hospital's trauma unit for intensive treatment.

Hatzalah medics Elhanan Rosenshtein and Dudi Gross reported that the woman was found with impaired consciousness and emphasized the swift and professional response of emergency teams in saving her life. The family has requested public prayers for Michal bat Sarah Ita's full recovery.

This incident adds to a recent series of tragic drownings in Israel, including a one-year-old toddler in a private pool and a two-year-old in a hotel pool in Sharm El-Sheikh. Authorities stress the importance of vigilance and strict safety measures around water, especially at home, as drownings can occur within seconds and sometimes follow sudden medical emergencies.
