Crane Overturns on Private Villa Balcony in Caesarea, No Injuries Reported

A crane overturned on the balcony of a private home on HaShemesh Street in Caesarea on Thursday afternoon. Firefighters from the Hadera station of the Israel Fire and Rescue Services responded and confirmed there were no trapped individuals or injuries. The crane toppled during work after one of its stabilizing legs sank into the ground, causing it to fall on its side with its wheels facing upward, damaging the house's balcony. The incident was reported to the Coastal Operations Center at 14:27, and a search confirmed no casualties. Rescue teams contained the area with sand due to an oil leak from the crane to prevent environmental damage. An engineer was called to assess the building's stability and oversee further measures.

This event follows a fatal accident three days earlier in Jerusalem’s Rehavia neighborhood, where an 80-year-old man died after a balcony collapsed at an Angel Bakery branch. The man was rescued unconscious and in critical condition, while his wife and two teenagers were lightly injured. Initial investigations revealed an engineer had been present earlier that day due to identified balcony issues, but the structure collapsed hours later.
