Israeli health officials order recall of Organic Cocoa Powder over excess gluten
Peg Yizumot, the Galgal packing facility, has announced a recall of its “Organic Cocoa Powder, Gluten Free” after a Jerusalem District Health Ministry food service inspection found the product was manufactured in violation of legal requirements and contains a gluten level above the limit allowed for a gluten-free label.
The recalled product is sold under the brand name “Atid Yarok” and comes in 100-gram packages. It was manufactured by Peg Yizumot, Galgal packing facility, and marketed by Rotzim Et HaTeva Ltd. The barcode is 7290018757710.
According to the notice, all expiration dates currently in distribution up to and including February 28, 2028 are affected. Consumers who are allergic or sensitive to gluten and have this product are asked not to eat it.
In coordination with the Ministry of Health food service, the company is collecting the product from stores and other distribution channels.
