Israeli Security Forces Prevent Criminal Assassination Attempt in Lod

Israeli police and Border Police forces in Lod thwarted a criminal assassination attempt during a proactive operation on Thursday night. The forces, operating under a special task force established to combat crime and maintain order in the city, responded immediately after hearing gunfire. During the search, they apprehended a suspect holding a loaded Glock pistol, which was seized along with the suspect. Further searches led to the arrest of three additional suspects, all taken for investigation at the Lod police station.

Authorities also discovered a suspicious vehicle containing live ammunition and a license plate concealed with a black sticker to hide its identity. The operation resulted in the seizure of four pistol magazines, ammunition, suspected drugs, and knives. The coordinated effort between the Border Police and Lod police station was crucial in preventing the violent crime and disrupting the criminal activity in the area.
