Israel Faces Intense Heat and Extreme Humidity Through July and August

Israel is experiencing significantly above-average heat and extreme humidity levels across most regions, with heavy heat stress expected to continue through July and August. Today, temperatures remain hot for the season, especially in the mountains and inland areas, while the coastal plain enjoys more moderate conditions. However, very heavy humidity will create substantial heat discomfort nationwide.

Tonight, the weather will stay warm, humid, and sticky along the coastal strip, with partly cloudy skies across most areas. Mountain regions will see a slight cooling, making conditions more pleasant though still relatively warm. Tomorrow, the heat will persist above seasonal norms in the mountains and inland, with very high humidity along the coast and the Shephelah region. Heavy heat stress is particularly anticipated in the valleys and the Jordan Rift Valley.

Temperature forecasts for key cities include Jerusalem at 19°-32°C, Tel Aviv-Yafo at 25°-32°C, Haifa at 25°-31°C, Afula at 24°-37°C, Ashdod and Ashkelon both at 24°-32°C, Beersheba at 23°-36°C, Mitzpe Ramon at 23°-35°C, and Eilat reaching up to 42°C.
