Israeli Forces Foil Mass Illegal Entry Attempt Near Tarkumia, Arrest Several Suspects

In a large-scale joint operation conducted over the past 24 hours, Israeli police and IDF soldiers prevented dozens of Palestinians from illegally entering Israel near the Tarkumia area. Six Palestinians and one Israeli driver were arrested after attempting to breach the security fence. The operation was carried out by the intelligence unit 'Arrow of Judah' from the Judea district police and fighters from the Etzion Brigade, focusing on the Tarkumia sector known for frequent infiltration attempts.

The forces detected a large group trying to break through the fence to enter Israeli territory. Quick intervention stopped the attempt, and the suspects were caught damaging the security fence. All seven detainees were transferred for interrogation by the 'Arrow of Judah' police unit.

Simultaneously, police in the Ariel station area of the West Bank arrested four illegal residents and their Israeli-Arab driver from Kafr Qasim on the Cross-Shomron Road during routine patrols. The driver, in his 40s, and the four Palestinians without valid permits were taken for investigation. Following the inquiry, all were imprisoned, and a prosecutor’s statement was filed to indict them.

These incidents are part of ongoing enforcement efforts by Israeli security forces across Judea and Samaria. Recent data shows about 380 illegal residents and 50 suspects aiding them were detained nationwide in the past week alone. The joint operations include intelligence monitoring, checkpoints, and targeted missions in areas with frequent infiltration attempts. Authorities noted that infiltrators often use sophisticated methods such as vehicle concealment, forged documents, and fence breaches.
