Maccabi Petah Tikva Set to Profit From Lamak Benda's Potential Serie A Exit

Lamak Benda, who left Maccabi Petah Tikva four years ago to join Italian Serie A club Lecce, may soon be on the move again after a recent dispute with his current team. Reports from Italy indicate that Benda refused to attend Lecce's training camp, creating tension that could lead to his departure. With less than a year remaining on his contract, Lecce has reportedly set a transfer price of 5 to 6 million euros to avoid losing him for free in January.

Maccabi Petah Tikva stands to gain financially from this potential transfer, as they retained a 15% sell-on clause when they sold Benda to Lecce. If the player is sold for around 6 million euros, Petah Tikva could earn approximately 630,000 euros, which represents 15% of the profit made from the difference between the two transfer fees, plus an additional 30,000 euros in solidarity payments. Similarly, Maccabi Netanya, another former club of Benda, is expected to receive a comparable amount from the transfer.
