Jewish Man Seriously Injured in Anti-Semitic Attack in New York's Flatbush

A 64-year-old Jewish man was seriously injured in an anti-Semitic assault in Flatbush, New York, on Tuesday. The attacker deliberately bumped into the victim's shoulder as he was crossing the street. After the victim told him to watch where he was going, the assailant turned, approached, and forcefully pushed him to the ground. During the attack, the suspect shouted, "This is what Jews deserve," before fleeing the scene. The victim suffered a fractured hip and is suspected of having a concussion. He was hospitalized and is receiving medical treatment. The local police station, the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force, and the Flatbush Shomrim community patrol are investigating the incident.

This attack follows a similar anti-Semitic incident in Germany the previous day, where a Syrian citizen brutally assaulted a man wearing an Israeli flag pin. The German victim, a member of the Israeli-German community, sustained severe injuries including a fractured vertebra and was admitted to intensive care. German prosecutors have opened a murder attempt investigation into that case. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns about rising anti-Semitic violence internationally.
