Jewish Man Wearing Kippah Severely Injured in Antisemitic Attack in Flatbush, New York

A 64-year-old Jewish man wearing a kippah was seriously injured in an antisemitic assault in Flatbush, New York, on Tuesday morning. The attack occurred on Swan Street as the victim and the assailant crossed the road. Video footage captured the moment when the attacker deliberately struck the victim on the shoulder. After the victim warned the attacker to watch where he was going, the assailant turned back, approached him, and violently pushed him to the ground while shouting, "This is what Jews deserve."

The victim sustained a hip fracture and likely a concussion, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The New York Police Department's Hate Crimes Unit and the Flatbush Shomrim organization responded promptly and are investigating the incident as a hate crime. Authorities continue to probe the attack amid concerns over rising antisemitic violence in the area.
