Israeli Police Arrest 19 Illegal Workers, Close Two Restaurants in Sharon and Shfela
Israeli police from the Central District recently arrested 19 illegal workers from the West Bank and five suspects involved in employing, transporting, and harboring these workers. The enforcement operation took place in the Sharon and Shfela regions and included roadblocks at city entrances, searches at construction sites, and inspections of businesses and residences.
Among those detained were three employers and two transporters. The suspects were taken for questioning at police stations in Kfar Saba and Rishon Lezion. Following investigations, some suspects had their detention extended, and indictments were filed against several employers.
Additionally, police issued administrative closure orders for 30 days against two restaurants located in Rishon Lezion and Hod Hasharon. The closures were due to the employment of illegal workers at these establishments, according to police statements.
