Israeli Police Arrest Employer and 13 West Bank Residents for Illegal Work in Tel Aviv and Herzliya

During a weekend operation by the Yarkon police district, 13 residents of the West Bank were arrested for staying in Israel without permits. Among those detained was a 32-year-old man from Ramallah who was driving a street sweeper in central Tel Aviv. His employer, a 55-year-old resident of Tayibe, was also arrested on suspicion of illegal employment. Both were taken for investigation and are expected to appear in court.

In a separate incident, a 24-year-old from Tulkarm was arrested for alleged involvement in a violent event near a club on Ibn Gabirol Street in Tel Aviv; his detention was extended until July 28, 2026. Additionally, two West Bank residents riding electric bicycles were stopped for traffic violations; one of the bicycles was reported stolen from central Tel Aviv weeks earlier and was returned to its owner.

Police also arrested nine West Bank residents found working inside an apartment under renovation in central Herzliya. Authorities are currently seeking the apartment owners and employer for further administrative and criminal proceedings. The police operation also resulted in the recovery of stolen electric bicycles.
