Israeli Reality Star Yakir Levi Dies After Falling From Miami Hotel, Police Investigate

Yakir Levi, a star of the Israeli reality show "The Americans," died after falling from the 28th floor of the Acqualina Hotel in Miami Beach on the night between July 20 and 21, 2026. Just before his fall, Levi sent a message to friends waiting for him in the hotel lobby, informing them he was coming down. Levi's close friend, Itay Merhavi, who had met with him in Israel a week prior, described the last moments before the tragedy. Merhavi recounted picking Levi up in Rishon LeZion, visiting Levi's mother, then going to a hotel in Tel Aviv before Levi traveled to Miami. Friends were waiting for Levi in the Acqualina Hotel lobby to go out when the fall occurred, marked by a loud noise that alerted them.

"The Americans," broadcast on Channel 13, follows five Israelis who moved to Los Angeles to build successful careers while maintaining ties to Israel. Levi, who lost his father at age three, had shared in a December 2025 interview that he arrived in the U.S. with only $300 and gradually built a multimillion-dollar business through hard work and perseverance. He owned a company specializing in restoring buildings damaged by fires and floods and was known for employing marginalized individuals such as abused women, addicts, and former prisoners.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to clarify the circumstances surrounding Levi's death.
