Sisters of Actor Yakir Levi Reject Suicide Claims, Await Miami Police Investigation

The sisters of Yakir Levi, an Israeli actor known for his role in "The Americans," have firmly denied claims that he committed suicide after his death in Miami on Tuesday. They urged the public to avoid speculation until the Miami police complete their investigation. According to Limor Levi, Yakir had planned to go out with friends who were waiting for him in the hotel lobby. She described how he told them he would be down shortly before a loud noise was heard, indicating the moment of his fall.

The family has received limited information from the Miami police so far. Security footage from the hotel is being examined, and Yakir's phone and bag are in the hands of investigators. Limor emphasized that while the family is open to various possibilities, they reject the suicide theory, stating, "I can say with certainty that Yakir did not jump and did not take his own life. He would never do that to his children."

Limor is working to bring Yakir's body back to Israel but cannot access investigation materials due to the ongoing inquiry. She expressed concerns that Yakir might have been under threat in his hotel room and mentioned that Israeli police have become involved, suggesting a possible nationalist motive behind the incident. Yakir's three children, aged 12, 10, and 4, have been informed of his death. Limor described him as a devoted father who never missed spending time with his kids. The family expects his body to be flown from Miami to Israel in the morning.
