Israeli Reality Star Yakir Levi Dies After Falling From Miami Hotel

Yakir Levi, a 45-year-old Israeli star of the reality documentary series "The Americans" on Channel 13, tragically died after falling from the 28th floor of a hotel in Miami. Levi, who appeared in the show that premiered this year and followed Israelis living in Los Angeles, left behind a wife and three children. He had visited Israel just last Friday and had previously expressed a strong desire to return to his homeland, saying, "I must return to the place I came from, the place that made me who I am."

Levi's background was marked by hardship; his father died when he was three, and he arrived in the United States with only $300. Over time, through hard work and perseverance, he built a successful career and amassed millions. He owned a company specializing in restoring buildings damaged by fires and floods and was known for employing marginalized individuals such as abused women, addicts, and former prisoners, giving them a second chance.

The show "The Americans" featured five Israelis, including Levi, Asaf Belcher, Sigal Style, Lee Alon, and Moses Hakmon, who had established careers in Los Angeles while maintaining strong ties to Israel. Levi also engaged in real estate ventures, advised billionaire investors, contributed to cancer research, and supported social rehabilitation efforts.

In a December 2025 interview, Levi emphasized his connection to Israel and his hope to return and contribute more directly. His recent Instagram stories showed him enjoying life in Miami, including moments at the beach and in luxury stores.
