He noted that the US has already helped resolve some issues for Lebanon and mentioned ongoing challenges related to Hezbollah, suggesting that recent US actions on this front will gain global attention.

The announcement came amid heightened US-Lebanon diplomatic engagement, with Trump and Aoun meeting as part of the Lebanese president's official visit to Washington. Earlier on the same day, US bombers took off from Britain, signaling increased US military activity in the region following Trump's warnings.
