Israeli security agency Shin Bet and the Israel Police arrested Mohammad Awad, a 29-year-old resident of Nazareth, on suspicion of promoting terrorist activities. Investigations revealed that Awad contacted Hamas with the intent to enlist and secure resources to advance terrorist operations. He also planned to carry out an attack targeting a current government minister. The Northern District Prosecutor's Office has submitted a prosecutor's statement in preparation for filing formal charges against him.
