Senior Jeroushi Crime Figure Released in Japnika Restaurant Vandalism Case

Khaled Hamada, a senior member of the Jeroushi crime organization arrested in connection with the vandalism of Japnika restaurant branches, was released from custody. He was detained on Saturday but freed before a detention extension hearing due to lack of evidence, as reported by Kan News on Tuesday. Another member of the organization, held for two days, was also released under similar circumstances.

Yossi Mosli, the head of the crime organization, along with his associates, were released and did not attend a second detention extension hearing. The police have not presented any evidence linking the suspects from both sides to the grenade attacks, shootings, and arson incidents targeting Japnika branches and private homes.

Earlier this month, Japnika branches were targeted amid a violent feud between Mosli's organization and the Jeroushi family. One branch in Herzliya was even hit by gunfire. Police suspect Mosli ordered the attacks. Nine of the affected branches are franchised by the Jeroushi family, under a franchise agreement granted by businessman and Beitar Jerusalem owner Barak Abramov, who denies involvement.

This case follows a series of grenade attacks and the arrest of Mosli himself, highlighting ongoing tensions between these crime groups.
