Jerushi Crime Family Linked to Japnika Franchise Amid Violent Gang Conflict in Herzliya
A senior member of the Jerushi crime family visited a Japnika franchise in Herzliya the evening before it was attacked with a grenade, according to a report by Kan News on Tuesday. The official, who owns the franchise, arrived late at night to give instructions to employees and was reportedly agitated, shouting at one of the workers. Over the past 24 hours, nine Japnika branches have been targeted in the ongoing violent feud between the Jerushi and Mosli crime families, with most of these franchises owned by the Jerushis. The Jerushi family acquired the franchise rights from businessman Barak Abramov, who is now associated with the Jerushis after switching allegiance from the Moslis following a robbery at his home. A source close to Abramov told Kan News that "Barak made a mistake by involving the Jerushis in his business," adding that Abramov is now the main victim of the recent violent escalation. Although Abramov is not personally involved in the gang conflict, his businesses have become targets due to his ties with the Jerushi family. The violence has included 17 grenade explosions, arson, and shootings in the past week. Additionally, a suspect was arrested within hours for involvement in the murder of a Mosli family criminal, with three stun grenades and spray attacks reported at different crime scenes.
