Grenades and Explosives Target Japanika Chain Amid Musli-Jarushi Crime Feud
In recent days, multiple branches of the Japanika restaurant chain across Israel have been attacked, reportedly due to an ongoing conflict between the Musli crime organization and the Jarushi family. While no injuries have been reported, property damage has occurred at several locations. The police have launched an investigation into the incidents.
Early morning, a grenade was thrown at a Japanika branch in the industrial zone of Afula. During the night, a fire broke out at the new industrial zone branch in Netanya, suspected to have been caused by a weapon stolen from the Israel Defense Forces. On the night between Saturday and Sunday, an arson attempt at the Givatayim branch failed. Later, on the night between Sunday and Monday, an explosive device was thrown at the Ramat Gan branch, causing property damage but no injuries. Additionally, a fragmentation grenade was thrown at the branch in Kiryat Ono.
Authorities continue to investigate the series of attacks amid the suspected criminal dispute, aiming to prevent further violence and hold those responsible accountable.
