Hapoel Be'er Sheva Prepares for Vikingur Clash Amid Kangwa Transfer Talks

Hapoel Be'er Sheva arrived early in Iceland on Saturday ahead of their Champions League second qualifying round match against Vikingur on Tuesday at 22:00. The team emphasized the importance of acclimating to the colder weather and practicing twice on synthetic turf to adjust to the conditions, which differ significantly from those in Israel and their recent training camp in Poland.

Despite ongoing headlines about Kings Kangwa's expected transfer to AEK Athens, the club insists the focus remains on the match. A club source stated that the team must concentrate on correcting mistakes from their recent 3-1 loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League and aim to secure a favorable result to bring the decisive leg back home to Hungary.

Kangwa trained normally despite the transfer talks and is expected to start the match. Although the Greek club preferred he not play to preserve his eligibility for their Champions League playoff, Be'er Sheva plans to field him to maximize their chances on the pitch. The match in Iceland will be played in a sold-out stadium with just over a thousand spectators expected.
