Ashdod Man Arrested With Loaded Gun and Hundreds of Grams of Drugs

Israeli police arrested a resident of Ashdod this week after discovering a loaded handgun and hundreds of grams of various drugs during a search of his home. The suspect is believed to be involved in active criminal disputes within the city's underworld. Officers found the handgun loaded with a bullet in the chamber, suspected to be stuck from a previous shot. Alongside the firearm, police seized several types of narcotics including ketamine, crystal meth, cannabis, and a drug known as "Doctor." The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to the Ashdod crime-fighting unit for further investigation. Ashdod Police Station commander, Deputy Chief Ronen Amram, stated that the police will continue to target those involved in crime and act against weapons and drug offenses to ensure residents' safety.
