Samaria Regional Council Confirms Gilad Farm Arson as Hostile Act, Promises State Support for Recovery

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, informed residents of Gilad Farm that the Judea and Samaria Police District officially recognizes the recent severe arson attack in the settlement as a hostile act. This classification allows the state to support the community's rehabilitation efforts and compensate affected residents through property tax relief and recognition as victims of hostile actions.

Dagan detailed that after joint investigations by the police, fire and rescue services, and local authorities, the circumstances strongly indicate the damage resulted from a deliberate hostile act. Residents are encouraged to contact the community police officer for assistance or guidance. Dagan emphasized a commitment to rapid reconstruction and expansion, stating, "Gilad Farm will be larger, broader, and equipped with improved infrastructure. Together, we will overcome this challenge."

Earlier, Dagan praised the Israel Police, Border Police, and Samaria Brigade for arresting two suspects linked to the arson. He urged government agencies to end delays and officially designate the incident as arson, noting it caused severe damage but no loss of life. He called for immediate government intervention to rebuild homes and infrastructure in cooperation with the council and local committee to restore normal life. Dagan concluded by expressing confidence in the community's resilience and growth following the attack.
