Samaria Council Condemns Palestinian Authority for Inciting Terror After Arson Attack

A severe terror incident unfolded at the "Derech Avraham" farm near Elon Moreh in the West Bank, where Palestinian assailants from the village of Beit Furik set a large fire that rapidly spread. Emergency responders, including dozens of volunteers, firefighting teams, security forces, and rapid response units, worked together to control the blaze. During the firefighting efforts, two terrorists attacked the responders, stabbing one volunteer in the chest, who was seriously injured and evacuated to a hospital for treatment.

In response, the Samaria Regional Council issued a strong condemnation, accusing the Palestinian Authority and terrorist organizations of deliberately inciting violence and orchestrating attacks in the area. Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Council, described the event as a "serious terror attack" and called on the Israeli government to take a firm stance against terrorism, emphasizing the resilience of the settlements in Samaria. He stated, "All Israeli citizens expect the government to deliver a firm response. We will defeat them. This is our land, and we will prevail."

Security forces have imposed a siege on Beit Furik and are actively operating in the area to prevent further attacks. This incident follows a stabbing attack in the West Bank earlier, where a Jewish man in his 50s was seriously wounded and the two attackers were neutralized. The Samaria Council's reaction highlights ongoing tensions and violence in the region, with calls for stronger government action against terrorism and incitement.
