Houthi Forces Announce Naval Blockade on Saudi Arabia, Threaten Full-Scale War

The military spokesperson for the Houthi movement declared an immediate naval blockade on Saudi Arabia, describing it as a "siege against a siege." Senior Houthi official Hazem Al-Asad warned that if the Saudi blockade on Yemen is not lifted, the Houthis are prepared to engage in a full-scale war. He stated, "We face two options: either we die of hunger or we take our rights by force." Al-Asad criticized Saudi Arabia for exporting oil and purchasing weapons while imposing a blockade and bombing Yemen, accusing Riyadh of expecting the Houthis to remain silent. The Houthis emphasized that any escalation by Saudi Arabia would be met with a corresponding escalation from their side.
