Israeli Court Allows Publishing Room Photos to Identify More Victims in Minor Sexual Assault Case

The Haifa District Court approved the publication of photos showing the bedroom of Alon Suisa, a 21-year-old resident of Nesher suspected of sexually assaulting minors. The investigative unit requested the release of these images to help identify additional victims who may recognize the room but not Suisa's face. Over ten girls have already testified against him, and his detention was extended for the third time on the morning of June 25, 2020. The distinctive room walls covered with thousands of stickers have become a key detail for potential victims to come forward.

The investigation began after a mother of a 10-year-old girl discovered sexually explicit conversations on her daughter's phone with someone posing as a teenager. Cyber investigators from the Northern District found that Suisa had infiltrated a WhatsApp group centered on the "squishy" toy trend, which included dozens of girls aged 8 to 11. He allegedly engaged some of these minors in private sexual conversations and exchanged explicit content with them.

Authorities are urging any additional victims who recognize the room's unique features to contact the police. The case highlights the use of social media platforms by predators to target children and the ongoing efforts by Israeli law enforcement to uncover and prosecute such crimes.
