Israeli Man Arrested for Posing as Teen to Solicit Intimate Images from Minors on TikTok and WhatsApp

Alon Suisa, a 46-year-old man from Nesher, Israel, was arrested on suspicion of impersonating a 15-year-old boy to contact hundreds of girls aged 8 to 11 across the country. Suisa allegedly used TikTok and WhatsApp groups, including those centered around the Squishy toy trend, to gain the trust of minors and request intimate images, as well as attempt to arrange in-person meetings.

The case came to light when a mother, identified as N., discovered suspicious messages on her 10-year-old daughter's phone. Initially posing as a teenager named "Yaron," Suisa sent affectionate messages and tried to convince the child to meet him, claiming to live in Netanya. Sensing something was wrong, the mother continued the conversation herself, quickly realizing the man was likely a predator and reported him to the police.

Police investigations by the Northern District's Cyber Crime Unit revealed that Suisa had been operating for months, contacting numerous minors and engaging in sexually explicit conversations. Officers found hundreds of messages and conversations with a sexual nature on his phone. Another mother, K., reported that Suisa contacted her 10-year-old daughter after watching her TikTok dance videos and repeatedly requested intimate photos, allegedly sending explicit material himself.

Suisa's detention was extended until the following Wednesday as police continue to search for additional victims. The authorities urge parents to monitor their children's online activity closely and report any suspicious behavior to hotline 105. Suisa's defense attorney, Tomer Naveh, stated that his client never met or engaged in sexual activity with any minors, and that the communications should be examined to determine if they constitute criminal offenses.
