Ironi Kiryat Shmona Signs Brazilian Midfielder Tales Costa as Christian Martinez Replacement

Ironi Kiryat Shmona has announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Tales Costa, who joins the northern Israeli club following the sale of their standout midfielder Christian Martinez to Slovan Bratislava. Costa, 23 years old and 1.76 meters tall, signed a one-year contract with an option for two additional years. He arrives after ending his tenure with Ukrainian club Polissya Zhytomyr in April, a team that had acquired him for one million euros. During his time there, Costa made 46 appearances, scoring one goal and providing six assists.

Costa is a product of the prestigious Sao Paulo youth academy, where he debuted for the senior team at a young age and gained experience in Brazil's top league, the Copa Libertadores, and other international competitions. He was also part of Brazil's under-17 national team that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2019. This signing aims to fill the gap left by Martinez's departure and strengthen Ironi Kiryat Shmona's midfield ahead of the upcoming season.
