Christian Martinez, the Panamanian midfielder for Ironi Kiryat Shmona, is close to finalizing his transfer to Slovak club Slovan Bratislava. Martinez, who gained attention during the World Cup, has already completed medical tests and agreed to terms with the Slovak team, coached by former player Yaya Touré. Due to the pending transfer, he did not join his teammates for their training camp in Poland, with Kiryat Shmona granting him time to complete the move.
