Man Covered in Blood Enters Family Car with Knife at Haifa Beach Parking Lot

A frightening incident unfolded last week at the Student Beach parking lot in Haifa when a blood-covered man armed with a knife suddenly entered the car of attorney Yair Dagan Biran and sat next to his nine-year-old daughter. The event occurred shortly after a stabbing attack nearby that left two men seriously injured. Dagan Biran was with his partner and three children, including his daughter and two boys aged 10 and 12, on a family outing to northern Israel. After a brief swim, he stopped near his partner's car to coordinate their next move when the man ran from the beach and unexpectedly opened the rear door of Dagan Biran's vehicle.

The intruder, appearing terrified and holding a blood-stained knife, shouted "Drive, drive!" while sitting beside the daughter. Acting instinctively to protect the children, Dagan Biran immediately exited the driver's seat, grabbed the man by the arm, and removed him from the car without resistance. The children later confirmed seeing the knife in the suspect's right hand. Despite the alarming circumstances, the man did not attempt to threaten or attack the family and seemed intent on fleeing the scene.

After the man left, the family noticed blood on themselves and the car. The daughter, who had been sitting next to the intruder, acknowledged the danger but did not feel personally threatened. Meanwhile, Dagan Biran's partner reported that two stabbing victims were lying on the ground nearby, one calling for help before emergency services arrived. The attorney contacted police, who informed him the incident was already known and took his details without requiring further testimony. The family cleaned up and chose to continue their trip despite the ordeal.

Shortly after the incident, Dagan Biran nearly caused another accident when the car, left in drive, began moving with the children inside. He quickly stopped the vehicle after hearing his daughter's warning. The entire episode lasted about 15 seconds and left the family shaken but unharmed. Dagan Biran described entering an automatic protective mode focused solely on removing the man from the car, without fear or hesitation.
