In recent days, an indictment and a request to hold a 34-year-old Eilat resident in custody until the end of proceedings were filed following two serious violent incidents that occurred in the city during May, involving threats on the road and an attack with scissors. According to the indictment, the first incident took place near the Ice Mall area, when the suspect drove recklessly, blocked another driver’s path, and after the driver honked at him, got out of his vehicle holding a work tool and threatened the driver and his wife in front of their minor child.

Later that evening, it is alleged, the suspect arrived at a house in the city and attacked another person using scissors, causing an injury to his face and attempting to continue harming him. Police said the suspect was arrested by officers from the Eilat District, and his detention was extended from time to time during the investigation. At its conclusion, an evidentiary foundation was established against him, and the Prosecutions Unit filed an indictment against him including offenses of threats, causing injury while the offender is armed, and attempted injury while the offender is armed, along with a request for detention until the end of proceedings.
