Israeli Police Open Dedicated Service Center for Gilad Farm Fire Victims

The Judea and Samaria District of the Israeli Police, led by Commander Moshe Pinchi, is opening a special service center today at 2 PM at the Kadum police station to assist residents of Gilad Farm affected by a severe fire. Initially planned to be located within Gilad Farm, the center was moved to Kadum due to damaged communication infrastructure caused by the fire. The center will provide residents with support in filing complaints, completing forms, and liaising with government authorities. Police representatives will be available to address all needs arising from the damage.

Meanwhile, firefighters from the Judea and Samaria region continue to combat the fire that broke out yesterday near the Mitzpe Yishai neighborhood in Kadum and rapidly spread to Gilad Farm due to strong winds. The fire damaged 24 homes, completely destroying 13, and also burned a wood storage facility. Firefighting efforts involved 41 teams, ten firefighting aircraft, an Israeli police helicopter, IDF forces, engineering equipment, and water tankers.

A joint investigation by firefighters, the Judea and Samaria police district, and the IDF concluded that the fire originated from a single ignition point caused by a discarded cigarette beside the road. Fire Chief Zion Shenkor stated that firefighting operations will continue until the incident is fully resolved.
