National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir Leads Efforts to Contain Gilad Farm Fire in West Bank

During the Sabbath, a significant fire broke out at Gilad Farm in the West Bank, prompting immediate action from Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Fire and Rescue Commissioner Eyal Caspi. From early afternoon through the late night hours, both coordinated closely to minimize harm to people and property. Ben-Gvir maintained frequent communication with Caspi, the Judea and Samaria Fire District commander, police officials, and Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan to monitor the evolving situation.

The Ministry of National Security's Director General, Rafael Engel, also visited the fire scene. Updates were relayed to Ben-Gvir every half hour by his security secretary, Police Commissioner Sami Marziano. Firefighting aircraft and numerous ground crews were deployed to combat the blaze, which was ultimately contained after the Sabbath ended in the evening hours.
