Former Haredi Exposes Fake Yeshiva Enrollment Scheme Involving Bribes

Avraham Rozental, a former Haredi man, revealed a fraudulent enrollment scheme in yeshivas during an interview on the Kan 11 news program 'In the Midday on Friday.' He explained that although he was officially registered as a yeshiva student from age 18 to 19, he never actually attended. Rozental described how intermediaries, known as 'macherim,' facilitate obtaining false enrollment documents for up to 2,000 shekels, allowing individuals to receive official confirmation of yeshiva study without being present. This practice involves paying these agents to secure the necessary paperwork, effectively enabling students to claim yeshiva attendance fraudulently.
