Paris Lee Joins Ironi Nes Ziona in Impressive Summer Signing
Ironi Nes Ziona officially announced the signing of American point guard Paris Lee on July 26, 2026. The 31-year-old, who developed at the University of Illinois, signed a two-year contract with the Israeli Premier League team. Lee played last season for Kazan in Russia, averaging 11.1 points and 5.5 assists per game. He has extensive European experience, having played in the EuroLeague for Villeurbanne, Panathinaikos, and Monaco, as well as stints with Orleans, Bamberg, and Antwerp, where he began his European career.
Lee was the EuroLeague steals leader two years ago with 1.7 steals per game while playing for Villeurbanne, and the year before that, he led the Greek league in steals with Panathinaikos. In 2019, he was named MVP of the Belgian league. Alongside Lee, Nes Ziona extended Jackson Rowe's contract and signed Israelis Vincent Amsalem and Adam Ariel. The club is still seeking an additional foreign point guard and center. Lee is expected to earn over $400,000.
Upon signing, Lee expressed excitement about joining Nes Ziona and competing in the Israeli league, stating his eagerness to create memorable moments, fight for team goals, and connect with teammates, staff, and fans. Nes Ziona aims to strengthen its roster ahead of the upcoming season with this notable acquisition.
