Former German Youth International Forward Linked to Maccabi Haifa Transfer
Maccabi Haifa is reportedly considering signing Maurice Malone, a 25-year-old German forward currently playing for Sturm Graz in Austria, as a potential replacement for Tribente Stewart. Malone, who stands 1.87 meters tall, has scored a total of eight goals over the past half-season with Sturm Graz after the club acquired him for 2 million euros from Austria Vienna. During the 2024/25 season, Malone had his best performance, netting 12 goals across all competitions for Austria Vienna.
Malone developed in the youth system of German club Augsburg, where he was the top scorer in the Bundesliga youth league in one season. He has represented Germany at all youth levels, including three appearances and one goal for the under-21 national team. In 2023, he transferred from Augsburg to Swiss club Basel for 2 million euros, was loaned to Austria Vienna, which later purchased him for 1.2 million euros in January 2025, and then sold him to Sturm Graz a month later. Throughout his career, Malone's transfer fees have totaled approximately 5.55 million euros.
The potential signing aims to strengthen Maccabi Haifa's attacking options under coach Barak Bachar. The club has not yet confirmed the deal, but the information was reported by Sport 5 and Channel Sport on July 16, 2026.
