Maccabi Tel Aviv youth scoring leader nears loan move to Hapoel Haifa
Hapoel Haifa is close to signing 19-year-old striker Itai Zafrani from Maccabi Tel Aviv on a one-season loan. Drafts ahead of the deal’s formal signing have already been exchanged, and Hapoel Haifa will not have a purchase option when the loan ends.
Zafrani was the top scorer in the Israeli youth Premier League last season, netting 25 goals. His goals helped Maccabi Tel Aviv win the youth league title after a season-long battle with Hapoel Tel Aviv that went down to the final round.
