Hapoel Haifa Nears Loan Deal for Maccabi Tel Aviv Youth Scoring Leader
Hapoel Haifa is close to adding Ity Zafrani, the top scorer in Maccabi Tel Aviv’s youth Premier League side, on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv. The report, published by Sport 5 on June 23, 2026 at 13:00, says the red team from the Carmel is continuing to build its squad for the 2026/27 season.
Zafrani scored 25 goals this season and helped Maccabi Tel Aviv win the youth Premier League title after a title race with Hapoel Tel Aviv that went all the way to the final round. His expected move comes as part of the strong relationship between the two clubs.
That relationship has already produced other deals. Goalkeeper Yoav Gerafi was loaned from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Hapoel Haifa, and the Carmel club later bought him outright at the end of the season. Hapoel Haifa has also signed Noam Cohen, and Zafrani is now expected to join that list if the deal is completed.
