Maccabi Tel Aviv youth scorer linked with Hapoel Haifa loan move
Hapoel Haifa is considering a loan move for Itay Zafrani, the top scorer for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the youth Premier League, according to Sport5. The Red club from the Carmel is continuing to build its squad for the 2026/27 season and sees Zafrani as one of the candidates to join for one season.
Zafrani scored 25 goals this season as Maccabi Tel Aviv won the youth Premier League title after a battle with Hapoel Tel Aviv that went down to the final round. The report notes that relations between the clubs are good, and points to the recent loan of Yoav Gerafi from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Hapoel Haifa, which ended with a permanent transfer.
Hapoel Haifa has also signed Noam Cohen, while negotiations for winger Hiv Habiballah are at an advanced stage. The club is expected to continue making additions as it prepares for the new campaign.
