Another interesting reinforcement may be on the way to Hapoel Haifa. The red team continues to build its squad for the 2026/27 season, and Channel Sport has learned that Itai Zafrani, Maccabi Tel Aviv's top scorer in the Youth Premier League, is among the candidates to join the Carmel club on loan for one season.
The two clubs have a good relationship, as Yoav Jarafi was loaned from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Hapoel Haifa and was then bought by the Carmel Reds at the end of the season.
Zafrani scored 25 goals this season on the way to Maccabi Tel Aviv winning the Youth Premier League championship after a battle with Hapoel Tel Aviv that went to the final round. Alongside Jarafi, the club also signed Noam Cohen. Winger Hiv Habiballah is in advanced talks.
