Forward Aaron Wheeler Signs With Newly Promoted Hapoel Eilat Basketball Team

Aaron Wheeler, a 27-year-old forward standing 2.06 meters tall, has officially signed with Hapoel Eilat, the newly promoted team to the Israeli Basketball Premier League, for the upcoming season. Wheeler previously played for Hapoel HaEmek last season, where he averaged 7.9 points and 5 rebounds per game over 14 matches before suffering a knee injury in January that sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Before joining the Israeli league, Wheeler played in the 2024-2025 season for Soule in France, averaging 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game. His first European team was KK Petrovic in Slovenia. In the United States, Wheeler competed in the G League with the Windy City Bulls and Greensboro Swarm, and at the collegiate level, he played for St. John's Red Storm and Purdue Boilermakers.
