21-Year-Old Without License Caught After Scooter Chase in Daburiyya

A 21-year-old man from Daburiyya was arrested last week after fleeing from Northern District police while riding a scooter without a license. The suspect, who never obtained a driving license and was banned from driving by a court order, abandoned the scooter and ran on foot upon noticing police motorcycle officers conducting vehicle checks in the village. A pursuing officer caught him in a nearby yard after a short foot chase. Police confirmed the suspect had no motorcycle license and was legally prohibited from driving. He was detained for questioning and later summoned for a fast-track court hearing. Additionally, the scooter was impounded for 30 days by police order. Authorities emphasized their ongoing efforts to enforce traffic laws and reduce dangerous violations using all available means to enhance road safety and deterrence.
